It's my Dads Birthday. Cards for men are so difficult, he is a bit of a handyman but I'm not sure that it's a leisure activity or one that gives him much pleasure. It was fun playing with the polymer clay to make the tools :-)

Birthday card

Portrait commission
I played with watersoluble crayons and brighter colours, but I don't like this image as much as the pastel
Then for fun I tried charcoal with a pastel background. I think I like this one bestPortrait commission
First I do some pencil studies from the photos I've been given Then a pastel of the image that most appeals.
