I've struggled with this project. There's so much to find I was overwhelmed.
This is unfinished. I decided that I wanted my figure to be watching the TV
I'm not happy with the finished image. It's too static.

hi Carole, I think you are onto something with the image that you dismissed as finished. It's hard to see the detail at that scale on the screen but the use of limited pallette ,reduced detail and white space is successful. Try on photoshop changing the tones (or hue) of the colour-it's a bit hot for the 50's . Could you make it a bit paler maybe?There's an interesting stylisation whre you are mostly using tones of colour with very few liens in a selexted area(you may like Laura Carlin who does this alot in her work). I agree with you that the second image is less dynamic- in this one the line looks colored in. See if you can take the earlier one a bit further-I think it has a lot of potential.
